Climate and season

A year-round destination, if you route it properly

The north is Mediterranean — mild, wet winters and dry summers. The high plateaux are continental. The Sahara is best from October to April, and impossible in July. Routing across those zones is what turns a twelve-week season into a twelve-month one.

  • Coast and cities: April to October
  • Sahara and the Hoggar: October to April
  • Cultural circuits: year-round
